BACK THE PLAN: BACK TO ZERO

Climate change is affecting our communities, our businesses, our Pacific neighbours and the poorest people in the world. Thousands of New Zealanders have already helped us put climate change at the top of our government's agenda by backing up our plan. But our job is not finished.

MAKE A SUBMISSION TO THE MINISTRY FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

Our government wants to hear your opinion. You have until the 19th July to make a submission on the Zero Carbon Bill and ensure a positive future for New Zealand, the Pacific and beyond

CLIMATE CHANGE, HOW IT AFFECTS US AND WHAT WE CAN DO ABOUT IT

Climate change is no longer something that is happening out there and far away in the future: It is happening now, it is happening here, and the longer we wait to take action, the harder and riskier it will become.

ON WORLD REFUGEE DAY, STAND #WITHREFUGEES

It is the greatest crisis since the end of the Second World War - 22.5 million refugees worldwide. In 2017, one person was driven from their homes every 3 seconds because of conflict or persecution. In the face of this monumental crisis, New Zealand took in a total of 1000 refugees for the whole of 2017 – that’s less than a single hour’s worth of displacement. We can do better.

MAKING A SUBMISSION TO A SELECT COMMITTEE

Making a submission to a select committee is a great opportunity to have your voice heard and be part of the decision-making process before a Bill becomes a new law.

DO YOU PAY TAXES? THEN THIS AFFECTS YOU

Our government is giving us the chance to tell them what to do about unfair tax policies. If we don’t act now, we will continue to miss out on millions of dollars each year.
